I took a picture of this artwork that one of my art professors created called Yellow. It is currently hanging in a stairwell in the CUB and I think it is a perfect example of color. For instance, there is a lot of movement going on and I believe that there is so much movement because of the complements throughout the canvas. There are also so many tertiary colors placed within each abstract circle painted. The overwhelming yellow gives makes me feel happy and optimistic, even with the abstractness and chaos that is surrounding the dominant yellow. Overall, I think this painting is very abstract and uses all aspects of color very well to create an interesting composition.
