Picture Taken Outside On the Way to WSU
This reminds me of Barry’s book because Barry seems to me to be a loner contemplating on what Life is in general. It is a very vague thing and a lot of her thoughts though cynical mirror how I feel. In grade school you see all the kids that are better then you at something at you and you figure “why even try” this exposure continues deep into life as you have to witness people more successful and better than you every single day. Some people might think, but hey your drawings are good. Although Barry has similar thoughts to me, although art used to be a thing that would set you free, now you are bound by the chains of self doubt every piece you make is an excruciating experience of what people might think. It’s hard to find anything of yours worth value and you start to spiral into a thought chain of why any of anything matters anyway. Your thoughts lead to What Is It? What It is? I chose this scene because the yellow pedestrian logo is all alone, and I could see Barry using a cutout photo of this sign in her work.
