Inner Child
It would be ironic to walk into the art building and not find any creative pieces. On my way to class, I came across an isolated piece of art and I couldn’t help but think about Barry’s book. The painting is not a representation of a set figure or shape but it’s sort of the representation of our inner child. The painting is made up of many art boards that are stacked up on each other and each art board has its own entity. Similarly to Barry’s book, the painting does not follow a conventional structure, and the content of the painting exhibits a raw aliveness that seems to be drawn from the collective collection of memories and experiences as a child from part of the artist.
